Dr. Afsheen Lakhani

Dr. Afsheen Lakhani currently works full time at Boston University School of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Associate Professor. To balance her passion for direct patient care and academia, she maintains a parallel track by working part time as a restorative dentist at Boston University Dental Health Center (BUDHC). She joined BUDHC in 2010. She is a Course Director for CAD/CAM Fundamentals and Practice for pre-doctoral students, and practices CAD/CAM Procedures at BUDHC.

She enjoys practicing all types of restorative dentistry and providing care to patients of all ages. She is also certified for Nitrous sedation and utilizes sedation to help patients reduce anxiety during dental procedures. Her goal is to provide treatment to her patients with utmost quality, care and respect.

Dr. Lakhani’s achievements have been recognized by Dentsply Sirona for the 2021 Smart Integration award of the year in Digital clinical workflow category. She was also the recipient of the prestigious 2021 Spencer N. Frankl Award for Excellence in Teaching at BUGSDM.
